  1. Oscilloscope 1.04

  3. This .ZIP file contains a simple Sound Blaster program I've written,
  4. and the assembly source. The compiled version is compiled with all
  5. available options. These are :
  6. Oscilloscope Window   - The oscilloscope.
  7. Volume Bar            - A volume bar.
  8. Max. Volume Indicator - Indicating the maximal reached volume.
  9. Auto Base address     - Searching presence and base address of SB.
  10. Override base address - If testing interferes with other cards/doesn't work.

  12. This program will only work if you have a VGA/MCGA monitor as I didn't
  13. want to think about a routine for drawing to a Hercules/CGA/EGA screen.
  14. These adaptions might come later, if I've written them I'll upload them.

  16. The current verions works fine with my system, a 386SX, 20MHz with
  17. TSJENG 4000 SuperVGA, and of course a Sound Blaster, version 2.

  22. This version of the program is compiled with TASM 2.5, of Borland, at the
  23. RUU.

  25. I want to thank Brad Barclay for his excellent SOUND BLASTER DIGEST, which
  26. I downloaded from nic.funet.fi, the pseudo-code in number 5, gave me the
  27. idea of writing an oscilloscope program for the Sound Blaster.

  29. Last, but not least, I'm pretty sure this program doesn't contain a virus
  30. because it will be very hard to hide a virus in such a small program, but
  31. if anyone doubts this, just recompile the source code. My compiled ver-
  32. sion is 2302 bytes long, including al goodies. I've seen a other scope
  33. for the sound blaster once, that one was 20 Kb, I haven't yet figured out
  34. why.
